In choosing hearing aids, there are two factors to consider:  Style (size and configuration) and technology (circuitry that helps you hear better).

BTE  (Behind-the-ear)

      Available as a discreet, Open-Fit solution

ITE  (In-the-ear)

 

      Easiest to handle

      Most affordable

      Ideal for those with limited dexterity

 

 

ITC  (In-the-canal)

 

      Easiest to insert/remove

      Discreet, yet easy to handle

      Easy telephone use

 

 

CIC  (Completely-in-canal)

 

      Most discreet in-the-ear style

      Most natural sound

      Must be able to insert tiny batteries!

OTE  (On-the-ear) (NEW!)

 

      Most discreet aid available

      Extremely light and comfortable Open Fit

      Uses soft, flexible earbuds for secure, instant fit

      Appropriate for mild to moderate, high-

frequency losses
